When He Returns 7.
Littler than like and time-on but clearing decks to get on and in the ...Bible. Appetite grows and press beyond the distractions.
More am dipping into Revelation is the awareness how much more there is to find, read and soak on. The apprehensive approach, often places it as a 'difficult book', realise is a misjudgment. All depends on the approach and reorientation out of defensive, glib, assumptions.
It's a book about Jesus..., and God's love of every one alive the world-over and the commitment and mission to bring about justice, and mercy. The passion is for one-to-on us. God's longing to find reconciliation. We cannot, or will not, stand the radiance of God without God's provision yet our choices and capacities, along with opposing forces, seek to keep us from this. After-dying we need one thing: the mystery and power of what happened and given for all future generations. All regardless and questions of either knowing the Gospel need and the saving power of repentance, faith, through —Christ's blood, that somehow sprinkles and bleaches us clean to live a new life through to and into a new body. A life-on and not loss and complete non-existence.
There isn't easy or clear and answers to what-happens/to-whom/and the dead. That's the way the juxtaposed claims, parables, and visions sit. That's the truth, and honesty of it.
The way to consider is ongoing and personal bible reading and in prayerful-mode at that.
The idea that God's conviction needs any legalistic help and fear of post-death consequences as motive is misplaced. Go ahead ye all who try, what saith the response?
Historical and famous, there were times and places recognised and the word 'revival' used. Scenes and signs of notable activity. God comings in extraordinary manifestations and presence, causing spectacular church growth.
Aside from 'presence' and power outside/outdoors/homes, (and of course, yes, within church meetings), doesn't itself validate all that was taught and occurred. Nor, do any reviews that identify and require, some to, acknowledge in retrospect any missing elements in what was said. Whatever assessment it didn't stop God using the best-could what was going on.
Any excuses today and how come in seeking to repeat the way of church in these former and not achieving results is a cop-out? Of course, a stream and Reformed church states it's all down to God's choosing. They presume moves in the love and power and previous outstanding, yet rare outpowering, is a waiting and see? Or, the line maintains, the contemporary land and population are too 'far from' in behaviour, to allow for it. 'Them'..., or the 'church failing' (typical, and said to be the "others") is at least, a reasonable conclusion. As to which bunches and why is the ask?
Question is: what is or isn't the church doing which is the problem, or solution? Wherein is human/Christian's responsibility in the shaping and making of history?
The final explanation suggests God is somehow judging, all and everyone, so not prepared to do anything like this again. Or/and, hold on for a rapture-out when/before the toughest of times.
The book of Revelation is a lot of things. The variety of purposes and reasons to read include -and the heart of it- the call to be an overcomer of a Christian.
The distinctives of aforementioned revivals were drenched in conviction to live-up and into God like there's ...no tomorrow; to see Jesus as the outcome and be transformed by this present reality and vision; to be full of love for people and actions following; and go crazy for prayer, get into exuberant worship and be open to wonders. Expectant for amazing and surprising, happenings and miracles.
One of Revelation's revelation on prayer: The bowls in chapter five, holds them and the symbolic representation goes on in chapter eight to add incense.
The NIV translation is one that adds (and not in original); 'with' and 'together' when it's the incense that's added to the bowls. Links back to the High Priest in the Temple (Old Testament) and offering prayers of atonement in intercession for the people.
An interpretation is about the presence and collaboration of the Holy Spirit when believers pray.
God in us, goes with us ...in praying, and said the enabling and making of the changes in the present and toward future outcomes. God wants to pray through us and said to be Jesus' atoning sacrificial intercession for us.
Our calls for justice, truth, and cry for people reconciled to God is the direction God is intent upon. The visions in Revelation teach this and make our greatest need to commune and communicate with God, the decisive action and answer of all nations.
Why, the world is...?
Everything destructive and evil is threatened by one main thing: sincere and truth-filled, humble, hungry, desperate for good and God coming, ...praying.
Bible reading prayer is the cavalry-coming-like hope and rescue plan. The awakening to whatever is true and in resistance to an avoidant, rebellious, acceptance to live in deception. A prerequisite for increasing turnaround. We must accept whatever is...real, for real.
Go for God, like our lives depend on it, to find the compassion for others and why matters.

Dashin' off and would like to get to the vids. above. Fasting on all sorts and vids. for the most part. Might get to and build-me-up on. The Gifts of the Spirit has one for that. We need the challenge, and on impetus is in others doing the right-thing.
The book of Rev. is all for now, and better living.
