We Sacrifice
Discipline is everything. OK not true but near-as and a word describing the essential dynamics to reign in and be-released. I’ve come down to... – note direction – this. Discipline solves all, Scott Peck proclaimed – something like this. Remember well. But how far, heard when – did this impact and see me reaping?
Nope with a few short interludes otherwise:
Seeds wasted. Left in the vault. Ground not fertile. Birds coming on, like the scene out that Hitchcock film. Sabotage through lazy meandering. Wondering stars. Faith-less deception. This world-system pummeling dross through the airwaves. All-this and that. Stumbling blocks and side tracks.
Then there’s theoreticals and there’s… m'leading and need for set-apart action. Get alone. Get off this/you-know-what. Double-down and resist diversions. The streets, stimulation, spending. Sex and drugs and rock ‘n roll... even. Ubiquitous idols looming. Pressing on through and blast past, second best. What must we sacrifice for success in the heavenlies and for justice? For God-sense success. For God to be able.
We are what we hear. And we are what we speak. And yes ...what we think. Hearing which isn't through normal reception. Grasping this, to understand something, is for me a taunting mystery.
Nowadays, Jordan Peterson – for me – amplified this in his Bible Series, say XII: The Great Sacrifice: Abraham and Isaac is all about ears to hear. Actually XI: Sodom and Gomorrah labours the place of sacrifice. This the heard and impacting rev.
His strength over-done is personal responsibility. And so it should be. That Jordan underestimates the depths, reach and sophistication of named social planners is obvious but doesn’t diminish his rightful call. I listen to HEAR. By this I mean; To listen as an exercise in hearing. For the kind Jesus speaks about and transformation. Spoken ‘into’ us such this somewhat by-passes senses. Sure, these are our conscious filters, we can only experience through. Yet there’s ‘more’. More and beyond activity. Deep and other.
Jordan is an exercise in listening and hearing. Following intently and receiving – demanding. Transforming. An ideal vehicle for applied thinking. Carry and roots revelation. It’s not necessarily novel or new. Re-stated as is, when depending on various factors personal and particular, can become a thundering, yet small still voice, from the live One. Evoking and a connection.
Hard to grasp and this post a need-be written marker. Notes on (my) underground.
Planning on reviewing his up-and-coming monthly talks on TS.
To the verse.

Yet to be fulfilled.
