Giving and receiving. Priorities -- or could say -- needs, for living in/with God. Why these dynamics so matter isn't easy to understand but what's called for. The power or release involves generosity and faith.

Meeting in the mission of compassion and liberation. Bringing about God on earth. Our purpose for living fulfilled. Opposite to the way society operates. At least in the West. Most-wise. Keep and self-reliance with degrees of family or friendly exception.

Not so the Saviour. We're to give/all/up, thus leaving us vulnerable to the material and other ways. To give to everyone who asks -- that ridiculous-sounding statement. And have faith. By this, ruminate and meditate, live in, the words of the Bible.

Crazy stuff? Why not God to be the safety net for trouble. When necessary... Not go without. Watch for and expectant?

Remove question marks and throw ourselves onto God.

An immediate reaction by observers and dig; "well didn't work there did it?" What about this region and famine etc.

Bible talks of 'rain on one, sunshine another' but no qualification. No hold back and get a sensible grip on it. No, now and again have a go, but live moderate and with less need.

The new direction: Abandonment and reliance.

No wonder mission for Christ is at such a low ebb. West is the best eh. The shrinking richer/money parts that try to proclaim to little, relative, avail. And those infamous talkers/leaders.

Side-note on a recent listen. Heard a most famous unseen-explorer type. One of the crowd, looking for footprints, speculating on entities lot. Doubtless, speaks for others. Why does he believe (in) God? Because his interpretation of Biblical prophecy fulfilled in world affairs. Can't tell if this is deep and genuine the case but makes me realise why all the buzz about. The need to believe in seeming static evidence.

While some line-up and Jesus coming and the Holy Spirit arriving upon people. Even then it was faith in action, in a relationship, in present activity.

Closing:

Beginnings and getting to get. Wanting, nothing-but -- is growing. Here now for God and nought else. 'Strangely dim' and all that, 'things of this world'.

Keep the Word in my mind in silence and a shout. The only place of proper peace. Get something back and give, without trying. Transmission imperceptible but certain. God a quiet desire.

So what about wants. God promises them covered, while the realisation is we want less. Want nothing but shelter, food and what space can. Thankful for good health. Care for others. Bible and pen.

Have in mind, the concerns of God. This summed up in 'dwell with'. Be in the constant reliance. Give us this day...

God deliver me from the evil one/thinking somewhere else but you/unashamed and all-worthy obsession/longing to give as we do likewise/accept your power to/the way of the cross/in the same power that raised Jesus from the dead/what might you do with life turned over for/come in humble confidence/you want to move mountains/put the enemies away/release captives/see your squandered and misunderstood name and presence glorified/call for revival/call upon you/promise fulfill-er/father/friend/mother/great beyond comprehension/intimate and kind/God
