Discovered a tech. issue and comments. One's come in from someone called Brian about Downer's An Upper:

A chance to blab. For a start, some kind of 'public' confession is where it's at. Or, at least, should be. Half of what comes out on this blog is about voicing struggles to pray.

About the one move that most matters, is being on 'the prayer tip'. Mainlining God's word, or at least keeping the book flipping open and fresh -- next down the list. Three -- could be -- one of them jingly jangly choruses. Do some 'other languages' (if this what into).

So there's a 1, 2, 3, 4... and being in 'tip' mode.

Let alone pushing into some kind of wrapped up and down on knees posture. Actually go and stop-all-else, regardless of feelings or perceived success in doing/praying. No doubts, what might likely be a fog-headed, blank and empty, non-happening is... something, be it for a few minutes or longer.

In all honesty, the pathetic and sense-less effort might be all can do. But hey, it works and an offering the promises claim is all we're first asked for.

Two notes:

On 'Downer's An Upper' wrote; 'Forget all the go-beyond-what-written about the dark realms. The certain true and baseline about devil/s and such, is they're condemners and deceivers. About all, we need to know. Where we ape and echo this, the -- call for now -- demonic influence-ers, are scoring goals.'

Might have better said 'accusers' and deceivers. The condemnation bit applies if we accept the claim. Not that enemy -- what have you --beings have the authority. Or our psychology is neccessarily correct and true. We can be got at or get ourselves at it; mocking, mimicking and a con. We do it to ourselves. They somehow can prime the pump but the 'handle' is in our hands and with God's help shut down.

Sure, there's guilt but a change of mind and there's forgiveness with the need for more of God. The lack of need and fail thereby to receive, is the blockage and root failure, aka sin.

And:

Still wrestling around darn epidemic-pride. Sweeping us one and all up, screwing our manners and expression. What isn't a blessed response is moaning about the moaners. Bitching about the bitching. Griping about... etc. etc.

Yet, gotta say: It's the number one problem.

As Brian says, it can make us think our 'heads gone'. As for 'only 2%...' on either score. Most to do with pride. The good news: God doesn't give up or get tired of trying to win us.

How do we get over 'ourselves' and reckon on God is so good and active for action?
