The Arrow And The Armour
Snakes and poisons?
'Monsanto' got me going and the hit from glysophates, courts have ruled, is killing someone. Speculation, doing us all -- somewhat, in. Soft culling. Considered fanciful thinking and "far-out-there". The cool-looking line to say; we-lot can think-up too much and over imagine the baddies are coming to get us. Follow the TV heads and keep calm and carry on. Don't be digging and think-finding. Supposed to be wise. Trust..?
Believers say; "God". As though us/Truther types beckon a contradiction.
Comes back to the theology of fate. If held a benevolent and loving one is negotiating the troubles, we should accept the journey goes so? Will be what, so stop y' fussing for exposure and arising resistance. Get back in the pen and accept the feed and bedding.
Let's hear from a prophet for the baddies taunting the people for truth, of love, and with light:
'There will be, in the next generation or so, a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude, and producing dictatorship without tears, so to speak, producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies, so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them, but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda or brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods. And this seems to be the final revolution.' (Aldous Huxley)
To where-going this morn? Something toward overcoming of the God-lacking offensive from the pharmacological tyranny.
But someone drew his bow at random and hit the king of Israel between the sections of his armour.
Gets the preach; "when y'number's up..." etc. etc. The arrow and the armour tell us so. How can we question? All waiting for the bell. 'Days ordained' the Psalmist writes, or as Youngs has it;
Mine unformed substance Thine eyes saw, And on Thy book all of them are written, The days they were formed -- And not one among them.
Without getting into the time and God question, jump straight to m'conclusions.
In looking at the disputed end of Mark's Gospel. On all the mish-mash of how these books called the Bible count in? Compilations and Luther and beyond? Without dismissing the haphazard history, believe: God managed we get us this lot. Ones without said-Apocrapha.
And what might look an addition the last bit of Mark but I'll go with God wouldn't let happen unless... wanted.
As goes with an arrow but -- here comes the key -- as and when and not every time/thing. Ompinpotent-like powers of predictability? Without a doubt.
Since the Bible nowhere tells us, God isn't here and now -- and '...then' has yet to be.
God engineers. Some of the time. And works out -- some of the time. Can when need do what's needed, regardless of what the opposition, or negligence. God and unimaginable; how active, busy, present, moving and seeking. 'Electric' -- in the word describing the dynamic speed.
On top of and the choice God has to recount, to recall and ...think/or not, is God's to have. A withholding and limiting. Giving room and freedoms run. God's uncertainty. Oh yeah. This what it says.
Even so, there are times indicated by the infrequency recorded in the scriptures. Times God does something that we're not meant to make a rule about. Something that will be -- and will be -- done.
God can and does, here and there, knock someone dead. Kills. If there's more power from God about, happens more-so. As with the early church.
The call and emphasis are on 'ask' and in a live-in sense and faith, we escape so much that could happen but doesn't need to. The overwhelming mandate. Not qualified and no loopholes.
'No-Gifts for today' believers want to account for the promises to see miracles as for them-days and not now. Requires the testimony of signs and wonders and by some people in plenty gets dismissed. Reckon lots of lies or psychosomatic. Or works of the devil. Or..? Argue their relative rarity puts a spanner in the healing for today works. Some claim God might... but don't get on those verses for confidence.
Can we know? Should we and some of the mysteries that abound? Yes and no. There's a time for letting go but can be a cop ye out.
Get oh so feet on the ground head out the clouds is the common whine. Or whacko-ish and glibbed up talk.
Here the rub. To believe poisons won't harm thee is the way to go. A myriad of factors involved is complex. Like the calls to some -yet- all can be?
Must scamper off. Too long on, convicts over-indulgence.
Feels very incomplete. So much more to say right now. End on: Easier sometimes to talk about than talk 'with' God. Breaking the waves of dissuasion. Do it -- and think about it later.
