The book in the bible contested like no other by the enemy is 'Revelation'. The disputes about it among Christians are frantic and it tends to cause reaction if someone's particular thinking and theology is questioned. Ask a bold and keen one doing outreach in the high street and you'll get a few stock lines. "We're in the last days" is a classic, which goes on to explain about the soon-to-be "rapture". To differ and hold a legitimate and alternative theology is taken, in an almost certain response, with contempt.

No way is it a valuable argument to oppose these views head-on; the problem is the disregard. Am reckoned a heretic by what looks to me like a threat and strident overreaction ...and insecure?

The way through is to accept a reasonable and overall accepted different perspective exist and sit with the 'agreement to differ'. Take as opportunity to be graceful and yet face full-on whatsoever.

Karen's post¹ intrigues and a surprise to see. Comment (on the last post) that am not an 'intercessor' isn't the aim but reality.

Take a year to hide away and get as deep and close as can with God. Once am prep'd up will go on the streets and do something... good, and powerful is the vision. Way will roll is to offer a broad set of choices within a legitimate and orthodox ballpark. No way does it work to not allow the 'two opposing' or three or four different views an airing.

Convinced the answer to "what kind of Christian am I?" —isn't, ...well, claims and the right- lot/ of course. Bible-believing, and "what the Bible says" unlike other Christians. Sincere and sound-enough is sufficient. Dodgy vs disputed isn't controversial. Immaturity is failing to disclose or bother to discover the wider thinking held.

Karen is gem and much about where-am-at.

To run through and begin the background. Although suggest am into sharing the other-sides and all that, to run through and bullet point m'own and set-up for broader explanations in Pt 2. (tomorrow), and end on a prophetic plea:

• The question over John (from other New Testament writings) as author matters is the reason the books not-included but of same period didn't make the selection is they were written after the apostolic doctrine came to an end.

• There are two dates and when it could've been written are AD 69-70 and AD 91-96.

• How the language is interpreted depends on how it's placed on the literal or figurative spectrum.

• Four overall views came about.

• The context and the times. Which leads to and obvious and oft. repeated song:

We're being driven into a perverse and counter-God's desire and outworking of this book. The 'followers of the way' aka Christians, taken for most part unaware into bowing to representative and material idolatry. The sacrifice to pseudo science masquerading behind available exposure of the lies.

The mobile phone/PC is the tool and softened us all up into pliable idiocy. The alternative-media has been equating 2020-22 to religion and cult-like behaviour again and again. Quotes and writings from GK Chesterton, Bonhoeffer and Solzhenitsyn used to back up the claims. How and why it isn't seen is something beyond rational explanation, and this according to many who are agnostic and unseen realms.

If there are two interests am most into it's the evil and unseen and this gets careful consideration and how to go about. As for unbridled and the obsession: How God works and personal interaction, biblical consideration and discernment in church-based history. Karen posits the place of the attacks and need to stop the church operating, at least in ways that matter? Would go further and state the reasons for the two world wars in the last century or so had geo-political purposes but the church was the target.

If the bible in essence and with debate is correct and true, the invisible to sight is the source of what happens in the material world. If the power of prayer is anything like as effectual as the hints and outbreaks in certain times and places show, we have hope and the means to see something different than levels of civil-deterioration expected.

Intend to do ALL the difficult questions. Life now to the death or life, to come.

Lots to write but am bleary-eyed and didn't sleep so well, or get up... at 4 am. Yep, and follow what prayer-ers do/ should/ have, and at best. The ones to aspire-likewise. Not looking for gongs and wows, had a rubbish last two or three years, (didn't we all?) and all can do to deal with it.

The inevitable upside of this downer-world/life and have money etc., and means to do it, is to get away and get alone...

and God.

Better that... than what had, and misled and corrupted.
