Predicting the Future Is Hard
CLIVE DE CARLE: FACTS REGARDING THE CURRENT SITUATION, introduces two short videos. Formidable, memorable-illustration, and education. The second is Info-Satire, of the highest order. An Irish woman, (surprise, surprise,...).
When I saw my son take his first breath, nothing else mattered/ Started thinking bout' how to get the boy a pattern/ I ain't talking fashion, I dropped jewels, no Hatton/ I bust down a mind, before I bust down a Patek
1. Intro
Yuja Wang is the Fredo of the piano. Brahms 2nd Piano...
Ten years ago the floor and my understanding of contemporary politics collapsed and a new room beckoned. The less-understood experiences of the internet dot-connecting, researchers... OK, got the cop-out call: A Conspiracy Theorist, aka, "Oh, they're, mad"
—perceptions, we're all scaredy-cat, about the BEAST that's a-comin' to get us, and, eat us all up?
WRONG. Or, it's the crisis, and the inevitable clash with cognitive dissonance and a 'thinking breakdown'. Could be, a month or more, of tears and re-adjustment? As for me..., hopeful, and resolved in the new light.
FATE is fake, and the deterministic vision. Can't read it/ or accept its claims, of superior credibility?
Thereon comes; God'll...win, -or- the Devil is running, the soon-upon, Apocolypse. (Pls., nb., the word, doesn't mean, the pop., baggage-laden, horror movie, add-on version.)
A lot about our imaginations and re-imagining, with God, for better tomorrows. Not in the systematic theology of the Pope-level, Reformers. Theology isn't systematic, but once in with the Calvin upping-each-other, theology has a bible, about the Bible, a semi-infallible guide.
Im-POSS-ible, the God Hates Fags leaning, or full-on inner visions? Not that the fags, are their aim and one conductor of WRATH. They head a small list of the degenerates, and/or, the willingness to compromise?
Steely confidence that the wars/rumours of wars, are chalked-up as undeniable, Geo-Politics is doing, what's, written.
Dreamers in they're the last, faithful remnant, standing. Cock-sure, God seeing-all; concludes, is... into the Reformed-led Churches. Calvinisms' militant wing are hot on Reform Ch., straying off. Leads to accepting, some and some, and wider denomination, or the waters' swimming in?
Again, not, my bag, and other, Christians.
'Cause, I too busy, doin' the...
Dynamics in waking up, are comparable to my early Christian days: Messages turning, us-lot, upside down, and now, it's... the population's turn?
Then cometh the second wave, that knocks most off-the-block, with the gnawing despair.
Comedian, Tania Edwards, has it in two lines, coming after the audience has shared in the difficulties over the last two years.
The gal goes; 1
...WHAT, Absolute, CUNTS.
[Audience laughing and applauds, way ya go, she told 'em. Pause...]
No, no,... I wasn't talking about them, but, us, ...for going along with it.
So, take ya claps back.
Hopeful? For a Revival, (the, not seen the kind, and anything, in ne'er-on a century). And, an Awakening. I.e., Read, Plant A Seed, talk.
The drenched in apathy, the reception is loud and proud; Peep. don't wanna know/ or, assert, do, and well, not a lot. As for, evidence, what says, we are believers?
PREPPING. The move-on-to subject, and any decent conversation with me. A decade ago, the imputes were the imminent dollar crash, etc. Would tell the multitudes on chat up's on Portobello Road, and the question on prospective, timing and a necessity?
"...in three months to three years," I'd go, and for Prep. the mattering, and, be(ing), prepared?
WE, all, but..., Joel Skousen, (comes to mind),...GOT IT, WRONG.
ALL means ALL..., and tends to buffer, and quench predictions and "around the corner?" Not only the threats of significant social deterioration but the best and worst, and a battle.
From The Sunday Wire to Mondays' UK Column News, accepting I need God/What?, with the trajectory of all the bells and whistles causing craziness and on.
2.
Nothing direct, almost never, and contact a fellow Truth maker. In writing I lay off Christians, if it looks like they'd read it, knowing, it'll bug and bum 'em, out. On the right-on, and Jesus tack, are sincere...?
—what good am I/the message am offering? The word is stumbling block. To be avoided, except, when it's confused with conviction? No, 'angels singing,' when, (another) Christian, swaps assemblies or, subscribes and associates with my gang(?), or, me?
Writing on Owen yesterday is in the confidence, if he was to see it; no doubting, am, no stumbling block.
Jump to it if the seeker is open and gettin' a loada cobblers? My personal take and convictions are for Informed Consent, and as norm., the foundations, and gets-assumed, standard, accepted, orthodox, faithful, blah, blah...
The Speakers Corner Revelation (Sundays/Hyde Park), and first heard by a seeker, having engaged well. Standing with him, watching one of the 'Preachers', turned to me, and said;
With friends like that, who needs enemies?
Not on my beer crate. Not one for talking to the not-likes, and me? On the front foot they'd be telling me of all the sinful ways, I was living. They could see it. A questioner of anything and them, put 'Satan' as my issue. Got to ask if they'd seen many/any(?), become, and remain, Christians? The answer is a doozie.
Something like: 'We're here to... (might even use the term), plant seeds. The rest isn't what's happening'. Manner and effectiveness, the dual, attraction/conviction workings, that could..., be of God? "
"Irrelevant", am told. No, bee's in my bonnet, and met with marvelous, and thoughtful, Reformed Ch., believers. Not got, no-prods and God, to work on them. Not difficult to get biggin' up, figures in Ch., history who admire and tops. The Evan Roberts video on GB, What Saith The Lord?, reads from a book that references 'dispensationalism'. "Run-a-way?" An irredeemable, yet... the geezer and Wales/ Prayer/ and Power?
Tops, of the tops.
Older writings, in the prevailing context, and church of the day?
Read today, and make retrospective, allowances?
View goes; "Nothing good can come from" any; he/ she/ they/ them/ the chapel over there.
The outlook is war and a wobbler? The notion that the slightest contact, is projected back, as condoning the untouchable's in their error-full ways? Considered, illegitimate witnesses, with a False Gospel/ Believers(?) outside the fold, ("know it, or not?").
Fellowship, with a gate to protect sheep, from wolves. Acceptance is about 'heresies' and dependent on being their kind, and right-on. A narrow path, and self-defined as the real Christians, and Christianity.
Ghosting and an email, and dare... spark up? As said, I don't as a rule contact/ever. In a decade, say, ten times? Wouldn't comment on someone's website, understanding the awkwardness my thoughts can cause? The wider and comparable, could be defined, and the spectrum:
Compbatabilist, (not the thelogical use)/ Cobelligerent -or- Idealist/ Purist?
High in Agreeableness, and Conscientiousness/ Polite, is the temperamental bias for Jesus United. Other factors, inc., Levels and amount of failure, and repentance; Personal history of diversity and cross-Church, understanding; Never and not a discussion. A denomination with fixed traditions...
Accepting and open, or...?

Where Did All These Calvinists Come From? (A Brief History) 3
The problem seems to have been a failure to account for the human religious impulse. Everybody seems to have assumed that Our Future Corporate Rulers would be basically neutral on spiritual matters — they would worship the Almighty Dollar and nothing else. If they thought about religion at all, past dystopian writers assumed it would continue to take the same forms, with things like crazy televangelists and the like. Nobody seems to have anticipated that religion would evolve into this crazy new form of mystical leftism which counterintuitively props up corporate rule. (Of course, dystopias are always more about current anxieties than realistic projections of the future, and militant, reality-defying Wokeness is a very recent development).
Predicting the Future Is Hard, Steve Sailor, The Unz, June 7, 2021
Comments by S Johnson:
EM Forster’s ‘The Machine Stops’ and Benson’s ‘The Lord of the World’ are two Edwardian science-fictions that pick up on the optimism of that period in ways that now seem kind of woke (world government, non-judgmental language, techno-worship, sexual liberation/exhaustion, euthanasia, etc.). ‘The Machine Stops’ describes something kind of like pod-living with Facebook and Zoom. I agree that Brave New World probably comes closest; Huxley even seems to have an idea of the road that the Ford Foundation will end up taking. Until the 1930s most authors seemed to think that future tyrannies would seem benevolent. The rise of the dictators and WWII made them think more of straighter dystopias for a few decades. Huxley was a smart guy.
Humanitarianism, contrary to all persons’ expectations, is becoming an actual religion itself, though anti-supernatural. It is Pantheism; it is developing a ritual under Freemasonry; it has a creed, ‘God is Man,’ and the rest. It has therefore a real food of a sort to offer to religious cravings; it idealises, and yet it makes no demand upon the spiritual faculties.
Benson was the son of an Archbishop of Canterbury who converted and became a Catholic priest. I think you could find the spiritual side of woke predicted in Chesterton and even some of the popes of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Pope Pius XI said, “Totalitarian communism and unregulated capitalism are united in their satanic optimism.”
And, "Amen," to Steve Sailor, replying to S Johnson:
Chesterton’s 1905 book “Heretics” would be a good place to look.
S Johnson, replies:
Good point. Chesterton had a lot to say about movements of his time that have become pillars of woke, like animal rights, vegetarianism, and birth control. He tended to see their common factor as being anti-human. He put capitalism in that list too as for him it saw individual men as economic units only valuable for what they could produce. In fact before the Russian revolution tarred socialism with the brush of Russian communism early Anglo-socialists (like William Morris) tended to emphasise individual or small-scale craftsmanship over mass production, which they saw as destructive and homogenising. Then as now that meant standing against ‘progress’ or what we’d now call woke capital.
GKC on anti-natalism:
People who prefer the mechanical pleasures, to such a miracle [of natural childbirth] are jaded and enslaved. They are preferring the very dregs of life to the first fountains of life. They are preferring the last, crooked, indirect, borrowed, repeated and exhausted things of our dying Capitalist civilisation, to the reality which is the only rejuvenation of all civilisation.
