Making Love
Said my bit on ISRAEL'S SECRET WEAPON - THE TALPIOT PROGRAM and HOW TO SPOT A GAY.
Prevailing thoughts are about God -- on us. How the heart counts and transcends 'truth' in propositions. We tend to reverse this: Christian truth-telling portrays God's need for an inspector. First and finally, all about standards of intellectual accuracy.
Something important about right-thinking but no doubt diversity matters and community. Holding together where possible, over artificial divides. We're making love or not. Peacemaking or unproductive projection. Getting our frustrated superiority over another's rocks-off -or- best can show grace. Take or give. Compromise... How this seems so remote from an evangelical-type mindset. Think operating tough. No... no, not-at-all. Insecure in so many regards. Easy to sound off.
This all about how we view those seeking light and truth. Not obvious and destructive. Sincere but different. In the church context -- in non-essentials.
The world of truth-tellers -- so very likewise. Putting everyone-else trying to bring something -- right. Not those in-opposition but ones aiming to walk alongside. Similar direction.
And this a-ok far-as but God is about; tone, temper, attitude and passions. Have it our way but God clear as -- humility and compassion are prerequisites for going God's way. Combined with honesty. This the emphasis. Seen Genesis to Rev. First, final and foremost, all summed up, in and on the cross.
It's how to disagree and do this right. How to be the critic and fierce but with God-like inclusion if-can. This the heart of God.
Written on a roll. Time is tight. And up.
