God's insistence we should understand is lover-like, I believe, Remarkable. Those on the receiving end of knowing, the bedrock of (our) hope.

You shall know the truth and… set you free, could make the case for knowledge is God's imparting attribute. God mighty 'other' – knowing, could be most about 'God'. Great and wondrous things. Secret insight, hidden wisdom – the universe revealed. Maybe add 'cares a bit'.

Short of getting physically violent against-believers, there's nothing reasonable about 'Jesus' and this revelation of God, commends the hot or cold but despairs at lukewarm.

Singing “what a wonderful world” in the middle of rape and torture in Syria. This is the Gospel to those having lost loved ones and seeing loss of others. Calamities, love should or would not let. Seemingly inexplicable and there's 'no interventionist-God'.

In Isaiah 54 we get, In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you,’ says the Lord your Redeemer.

The liberating power of God is love. We do badly without knowing this. Without knowing God and can-do-without knowing, love for each other.

In the Battle for Britain/all nations/regional conglomerations, this or any which-way love, is the missing element. Regardless of beyond 'this life' the need for love-now is the single most urgent, liberating and necessary, organising power. The call of God.
