Some things about us are given (nature), then comes (nurture) and all we might have opportunity, or not, to do. David is chosen because God could see, who'd most likely do, what's required. Born with and responding, if nothing else, in the wilds of tending to sheep. God's chosen out of biology and the soul, plus circumstantial shaping. David not included in the gathering to recruit, brought in, anointed, goes back to the humble hills.

Paradox is, we can't see the heart – so much/at all – and so-often, sure think we-do. Judge-away half the time, we're in blindness. We don't even know our own heart that well. This very most central and deep.

At least in being freed-up to write what I should for… let's say.. three reasons.

One: Encourage those not-church, to consider God and the Bible. Somehow to want to read-again and talk to God. Two: Pray to God as I write and take, or make, the typing – if considered such – prayer, even prophecy. 'Spoken' to God, collaboration. Other dominions moved, countering. Three: Speak to my heart. If I can. Particularly for faith sake.

On the third one. I must keep it as a note not natter-on. And generally save space/time and spell it out quick. Perhaps I should put 'em on a post-it, on the wall, leave it at that?).

Let's try a list:

1. Judging overly quickly, not so much what someone says but who the person is through and through, can say more about the assessor than the assessment. To call someone/those in officialdom and power is one thing, where they evidently oppress others – so there's need to resist. Jesus and the early church, let alone the prophets instruct so. But; 2. Truthers are beaten by the/ir enemy, as far as allow themselves to turn on each other. As far as we do. 'The accuser', is the description of the one we fight. No guessing the tactic. I can't be sure, how far some whisper or impression is laid on us? From outside? What is more certain are the manifest symptoms. 3: Faith that matters has nothing else but God to rely on. The very soul and heart of life has foundations. Health and money, age and physical security. The challenge with Christ, is where they sit? Are we able to let go enough, to know God is there enough… Or/ better read; Are we 'after God enough' that inevitably can dislodge the idols. This the way. God more/the-rest – less. All we need, is need – God 'more'.

Let's leave it here. To serve, not too-grandstand.

God be in these words. Be the truth, wherever words are coming to me, help me discern. And on lies, lies, lies, lies… and the ones we tell ourselves – help us replace them. Pour into us truth. Your words. The clear, pure ones, that likely come through failure, and yet, faith. And always grace. I need your help to receive. I ask you to be here, somehow, some-any-way be present. Help us be in the battle, that is what is. But enemies must be beaten back. To find Psalms from the shepherd and take heart, strength – and, I bind and loose: In Jesus Name.
