Wrote a comment yesterday mentioning exprience leading theology. True enough but not to be confused with my jukebox-box of broken records. This shouts for theology of the boot. Taking every thought captive. How long am I going to continue to put up with this head of self-hatred? I suppose until I get into aggressive faith? The kingdom, or reign of heaven(s) suffers violence, and the violent take it by force, said Jesus. Non-violent ‘violence’ if ya get m’drift? Assertive in words of life not death, that doesn’t come or go by natural mutual agreement. Add one clear description of diablo - the accuser. We’re under attack. Internet taking on our biology, historical imprinting - and entities with who-knows-what poison we swallow? The world, the ‘flesh’ and the devil goes the Bibleism. First words in this plant a seed parable, listen and why we don’t. The essential plus ‘mind over...’ is get low-down and call-up God’s helper aka The Holy Spirit. God too.

Listen? Jesus presumably had all ears with crowds enough, he had to stand on a boat off the shore to be seen and heard. So they were, you might say, on it. In the greek, ‘akouete’ - a present, active, imperative kind of listen. “Listen up” (maybe a shout), because he goes on to say, if you don’t get this one, you won’t understand any?

Listen... the farmer...? And what? We don’t meet him indoors. Only hoping, waiting on seeds already planted, see if they grow, depending on conditions? Musing the cyclical-karma of life? Or nature doing its stuff in some kind of forest garden? No, the-farmer-went-out. Emphasis on: We-sow, we-don’t or we-do? I say this staring at a sadly barren plot. Can’t see harvest Mark-sides.

Hence this preach-me. The parable explains why, in a forensic and clinical breakdown.What, jumping ahead (but will review in near posts to come), might we expect? A fine, healthy, reasonable, moderate reap? No, but I’d have been grateful of that. Part-time famers with part-time attitude should see this. But for those kicking out the jams and becoming sower-merchants, mad-for-harvest? More ridiculous sounding Jesus-claims offers are presented, that other passages concur. How about; thirty, sixty or a hundred times what was sown. Some and some. All about what we do with the middle bit of info and instruction. Somewhat putting aside the parallels to phyical seeds and farms, Jesus is giving us what we need in the face of analogies in our struggle for truth and liberty.
