Bags of Playlists
Musclehead came to see me. Back from months in Jamaica, it was about the first time we met. While there he added some backing vocals and the brass. The album was Rhyme & Reason (Saxon Records – SAXLP 010). Lloyd Brown. Thirty tracks.
I'd become an overnight 1/2 inch.-reel 'believer'. Muscle' blew that bubble. 'Mafia and Fluxy' on pads, Lloyd voiced, in his home/office.
All digital.
Played him bursts of the reggae album, 12 artists and songs, 'Lovelight'. Joseph and friends, South Norwood. Half-inch. Josephs' house. Young Devon, "great friend", engineer. Blacksteel, (person not band), laid the drums and bass. Two weekends. For a jumbo Ford, I drove, when on tour.
Fresh, new, old... Played to everyone, all jigged and shaken. Top Reggae.
Not available, have written about, will more. Immense. The Lovelight mix (not used/or saved...) session was in/on and would have surpassed missing 'Armagideon Time'.
The above, but can't find the twelve inch? What's that all about?
"Oh you should have come down the studio last night", said Kate. The young Clash, product manager, as she breezed into her office. I gulped and head dropped. "Did Armagideon Time", she squealed. She's not the CBS "token Punk" employee, I moped. Too shy, too 'give space', and not such a bad thing.
Did go to Wessex Studio ('Sandinista') a few times but not so bold and want to appear a 'ligger' and often.
Be clear, put Winston Reedy on Lovelight (missing mix, or what remains) on the title track, for instance/any of the tracks. vs. anything linked on the post.
That, good.
(My) Best, and not-now regret, –miss, was through David, who sat next to me in the CBS Press Office. His two mates, and now mine, had Marvin (Gaye) on their couch. It was through David, Marvin signed to CBS for Sexual Healing. He did events, press tickets, VIPs.
Around a friend's in Ladbroke Grove, met the son of one of two in Shepherds Market 'fellas' and Marvin's 'new pals'. Now, 30 years later. Like Dad, a professional gambler. Cards. Shared my stories, such like; Overlooking Leicester Square, the north-west corner. Lights out in a ballroom/dining-room. In the middle one table, about six around it. Joined him once, sat all night, he won. Said "I brought him luck". Felt he said it as a cheeky-apology to a big loser or two.
Dad left him £60,000 in a plastic bag. Playing a number of tables at the same time on the new 'internet gambling'. Helping his friend set it up. Marvin left Dad owing money. Didn't seek gossip. Had lounged about for hours and nights-over, but on other 'tings and whole of my work-world was 'Marvins' full.
Should gab on some of all that, will talk one closer to me person (at the time) and after CBS. The off to meet Dylan in San Fransisco and produce a bands' record. We had to turn back from the plane doors. Guy Stevens. My evening phone calls. Stories there to tell.
Off The Wall recorded December 1978 – June 3, 1979, Michael, Quincy, that engineer called 'Snowdon' (I think). Musicians, backing singers.

[Quick quiz, how many staff worked for Epic Records UK in 1980, say, office/s,staff?]
ANSWER T'murra.
Musclehead and H.M.P.?
He nodded and polite at my enthusiastic ideas. He handed me the only copy of Rhyme & Reason. "Do what you can? Take it tonight and suggest what to do, meet tomorrow".
Tomorrow: "H.M.P., the single..."
Won't bore you with the stratagy. All I can say, is it was about 'H.M.P.' or 'Lovelight' that Musclehead said, "Yeah, it's great... but, no one wants to put money behind it".
We had a '50/50 Distro.' deal. My old UK mate. We met in NY, he owns Cargo Records (Distribution).
The day another bubble burst, reggae and UK hip-hop was a push, push...
No more tonight and Vision 'on' and a Part 2, Well, Vlad does his 'parts'?
Here, until I get swifter.
Peace and deliverance from all '2M distance', "plucked out the air", mental oppression.
Hey, Emma, (nos. 2.). "Big Up."

EARLIER IN THE DAY...
Taken in Jorge Valdes in sections over a week. On occasions I replayed clips. Before I had any idea he became a Christian, he topped the two most important interviews, seen in..?, since...?
The three best interviews on the internet.
First came via the song that represents the US sitting down to realise, "it's over...".
The meet-up anthem in the UK and US get-together.
UK reaching and surpassing the USA, the one-two knockout. The representative releases.
25th September (2019), 'Live' with Casanova ft. Giggs. On October 27 came Avelino, featuring Dave.
Cassius Clay.
Jorges. (I've the last few minutes, to go/see.)
"Why do you get so upset with people who lie?"
King Tone. The one-stop shop for rehabilitation of re-offenders. How to never cut a 'deal with the devil'?
King Tone has a reliable road-through. All the people on 'opp.s', should Listen-Up, and, Soon As.
King Tone on Vlad TV is the heaviest 90 mins. on the 'net'.
Casanova's full interview is no longer available on VladTV. Assume Vlad is seeking to increase traffic, "and fair-play to that" , by keeping it to featured sections and 'flashbacks'. Checking on the rapper Casanova, late last year?
After watching the full interview once or twice, and/or, different featured 'Parts'?
Blown, A-way, and it's all hands-up, positive, reasoning —flowing.
King Tone, is the one for me. Listen and re-listen, and remember.
The playlist NY 80-85 music is 'King Tone music', or the people he represented who I lived with. I.e. at the top of one of their blocks. 7th between B and C. The community, downtown NY. The Drill and Grime of its day: NY Radio, 'BLS, KISS and KTU.
King Tone is a shaping conversation in my life.
Put that with my discovering Tupac, while yet, to get into/know..., and Nipsey Hussle.
Where I'm at.
Jorges..., though? Christian or not,
Have you ever..? Please get to the part, which I should link to: 'Jorges on C-19', —Prisoners, and the Public, 'Mental Health'.
Back with Vision. Load it on the MP3 player, out and back later, to give the songs some "rave reviews".
Tar for coming by
MJ
The verse:
You don't say
They don't ask you 'what's good'?
Ask if you okay
I been havin' arguments the whole day
So I'm up in the apartment with the Rosé
Or in the hotel, somebody I won't name
Let's just say a old flame
Laughin' 'bout the days when I had no game
Just couple crazy kamikaze guys with no brains
I'ont wanna die
Do it myself because I don't wanna bly
Happy at home so I don't wanna fly
They ain't sellin' me anything that I wanna buy
Showin' out
Nuttin' there ain't blowing out
Bae, get your coat we're going out
She never wanted, donny had to throw him out
Think they so in tune, but they showin' doubt
When I say my 'Our Father' and the mass is over
I'ma trample that lion and that fassy cobra
Yeah, that Mafioso with a splash of Yoda
It's that big Hollow Man and that Casanova
Giggs. The verse.
Avelino, the rapper. Respects Dave and Casanova,
