[The] sickness is selfishness. Stupidity, lacking discernment. All fed, from dead works.

The Good News is liberation, through worship and prayer. Through Jesus.

Hate my self-ish, run off and intoxicate. Frustrated occasionals. Contributor to dead-ing the work. Lose security and rest. About trying to find substitute-salvation in some/thing/one. From the lack of communal. To enthuse out in ease and frenzy. Self-indulge and frustrate.

Give up sharing Christ with a world understandably intransigent and Church... "where?" The combo depletes. In this, should lament, not in failure-again... more... me.

Get about others. In God. Where "me?" becomes, "who's this?" Same goes and what's, "needs, likes and wants?" Etc.

The heartbeat of God translated into our presence and inner-being. Fragile universalist hopes won't suffice. Albeit commendable theology.

God relates and does what amazing-can. Considering my rickety rackety. Get me/over and God/on -- first:

Jesus blood never fails me.

If God permits

Dead works and faith? Later in this letter, we're told; the blood of Christ is the only way to cleanse your conscience from dead works.

Change from actions that kill/us? At least dead in useless -- to God and this world -- in failing to be, what God is for.

Or... works that are 'dead' in looking, not to faith in God but a legal framework?

If it's the former, the wording obscures. And anyway, it's spoken elsewhere. Something 'James' particularly puts forth.

Only comes to mind is: Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit... going on to spell out singing and scriptures etc.

(A personal/pertinent verse). What leads to what? The outcome is the outcome. Leads to a conscience unclean. And works death not life.

Or is it about the self-righteous delusion and dead works -- in this context -- that are everywhere? Look at little internet but took a peak somewhere, scanned and saw all this Trump-about talk. Nothing much else. About to suffer the News over tea. More 'dead works'. Mega distractions while the movers and shake-up are happening 'elsewhere'.

Increasingly the life of sung-worship and verses in openness and surrender into. How live-works looks. Assuming authentic and all about seeking God for real.

You're alive/we forget/you come to remind us/bread and wine/power and forgiveness/eat of you/change our hearts as we repent/and the word become all was given to-be/confess all second-rate false saviour-seeking/declare your faithfulness to complete
