UK Column News - 7th June 2021
Matthew McConaughey Reads, 1 Corinthians 12 12-27
What a saga, this MC cares more about absent fathers than Balenciagas /Who's raising our youth? /It's mad, some of the stuff I hear in the barbers /A new era, if the cap fits, guess I'm a starter / Everybody's praying, they're saying; pray for Pakistan /Pray for Paris, Pray for Brussels /And Syria /Pray for Isis /Nobody knows they need a Saviour until a crisis
If The Cap Fits
Flannery O'Conner wrote to hear, and help understand, what she thought, and could be discovered.
Because of UK Column, am 'led', (?) to, go to God.
For, Douglas Murray, it's the voice of God. Waiting-for, and the push into the leap... faith has found and into the name, and, 'Jesus is alive, and present'.
GB, What Saith The Lord? and posting words is representative of my/the, Cloud of Witnesses.
Local Church is like '12 Step', and dynamics provide a format for peer accountability. The opportunity in 'church' is engagement horizontal, and vertical/other realms, and Christ in me...,
...and inaudible, and occasional, catching the 'voice of God'. If significant, these encounters and words contain life-beyond, material, or human explanations. For purposes unseen, for the material, and human GOOD.
Sometimes it feels like I don't belong here /It's been a long year /Hands are made for working and we get 'em dirty /I've been noticing the traps, 'cause they set m'early /It's an uphill struggle and I was never worthy /I don't know why God trusted me with this life /It's like my imperfections they've been disguised /Devil on my shoulder and he's hoping that my gift dies /We've been praying for angels over this side /I feel for this generation and pray for wisdom /God, we've been battling failures, and addictions /Racism, kids, rotting in prison /Trapped in a system, it's like we've lost vision /I ain't got the answers /Feels like I'll cop-out when I say I pray about /'Cause times are getting harder but I feel a sense of comfort when I'm talking to the Father /When I'm out of words, I don't complain /I'd rather say this
/Blessings fall on me /Blessings fall on me /Blessings fall on me /Like, good things fall on me (I need your touch) /Blessings fall on me (Fall down, on me) /Blessings fall on me /Blessings fall on me /Good things fall on me
I do this to affect change /That's why I picked a pen and pad in the first place /Helps me on my worst days /And I've learnt that people relate to pain /Guess everyone wants to know that they not alone in the rain /And I get that /We're all praying for a jetpack /So that we can step back, and fly over the setbacks /I'm on my Sam Cooke 'It's been a long time coming but a change is gonna come' and I rep that /But it's tough when I look into my mother's eyes /To summarise, she ain't been the same since her husband died /Truth is, neither have I /All my brother like, "Soon enough, see him on the other side."/Till then we gotta look at the positives /There's power in the one that we're following /I guess that's enough /And mum, of course, I'll give you my love /But it's nothing like the love from above /So mum, say this
Blessings fall on me /Blessings fall on me (Blessings fall down on me) /Blessings fall on me /Like, good things fall on me (Like good things fall down on me) /Blessings fall on me (Fall down on me) /Blessings fall on me /Blessings fall on me /Good things fall on me (Fall down on me) /
Too blessed to ever stress I guess /Too blessed to ever stress I guess /My mother done more praying for me than she done for herself /And if she kept the receipts, I would owe her the world /And I'm blessed /I see a power and a strength from my girl /Guess the apple wasn't far from the tree when it fell /And we plant seeds hoping that the fruit has beauty of palm trees /Hoping that their drive ain't determined by car keys /Hoping that their sight sees beyond what they can't see /Hope they know that it's real when they feel what they can't reach /Counting my blessings, I'm reaching higher numbers /Turn my L's into lessons, that how I'm finding comfort /The Lord sees my halo cause he's in my circumference /Stop pree'in' my jewelry and tryna fire judgement when the— /Blessings fall on me /Blessings fall on me (Blessings fall down on me) /Blessings fall on me (I need you) /Like, good things fall on me (Blessings fall on me) /Blessings fall on me /Blessings fall on me /Blessings fall on me /Good things fall on me (Fall down on me)
Not into making, written or otherwise; promises, vows, ...isn't about earning, or the ubiquitous, wrong-mix and seeking obedience to justify ourselves. Single-out one example is Owen Benjamin. He's someone I've followed, and appreciation continues. Seeing the moves and shifts, the conclusions he's now proclaiming is understandable and the direction he's on.
'Flat Earth/ Classic Theism/ Free-will, and the future/ God's 'omnipotence' and benevolence/Life is God's testing us, in everything that happens/ Christianity is about behaviour that fits Owen's view of what God, loves, hates/ Every, now and forever, is in God's meticulous control and exhaustive future knowledge'.
In the calling out to others to be like this/don't do that, Owen's right to holla on how to deal with difficulties with someone?
Owen gets the Jesus way, and, (1.), Go one to one with the dispute, and problem. If, no, resolve? (2.), Take someone along with you, and, go again. The same response? (3.), Go with representatives of your local church/ or, community. Through all, keep Grace aware and filled to demonstrate God's love.
Note, Max Igan, in The Betrayal of Ken O'Keefe has the tone and temper, exercising grace and maturity.
As with Paul Craig Roberts, someone open to correction, and in public, through writing his confession. On Truth Is Gaining Ground on the Lies of World War II:
I made the remark in a column that Hitler, like Napoleon, destroyed himself by marching off into Russia. I suggested we not repeat the folly. Two readers corrected me.[ ...] I was too much under the influence of the WW II narrative to believe them.
SORRY, I got lost in the weeds. As an intro to a reckon-on word (for me), comes in response to 21 Wire and UK Column unfolding the low-down. Can't see the road to 'normality' will happen without a delay/ delays? The summer break? What would it look like? The pubs are a barometer. Cannot see how voluntary measures would succeed from the enemy's standpoint. The chance for choice, would cause any pubs deciding on 'restrictions' to be less attractive. A majority jabbed, but it's a minority who'd have a problem with unrestricted social spaces.
Restrictions will be lifted in proportion to people's opposition, in one shape or another. Would a stop-start, locked, let-out... period, be preferable and a taste of togetherness -or- ...is taking the fight-on with a straightforward wider-realisation and outcry, up-rise, strikes, and galvanised protest? Informed locals connecting on the same lines. On top are unexpected turns and surprises-for-good.
The next post, always(?), and another... bang m'drum.
When I saw my son take his first breath nothing else mattered/ Started thinking bout' how to get the boy a pattern/ I ain't talking fashion, I dropped jewels no Hatton/ I bust down a mind before I bust down a Patek
We are Greenbelt Christian Trad. We offer process and space, belonging/in, yet, with doubts. We believe in the 'crisis' and Baptism for believers but offer the (book of) Acts' talk of family, and, common areas of shared ownership, and responsibility. We don't run a hospital, more a "rescue shop" from self, and oblivion.'
'We move toward or from... God, we are pilgrims' church-ing with the 'whosoever'. The content of character/s into seeking and supporting/ed, to a productive and, growing in love, with The Lover.'
