Rosa Koire¹ is as right-on as it gets and a lay-out of the challenges coming upon us. Her thesis and research is about all we should reckon on. Requires a genuine, grassroots up-rise as reality pinches our lazy screen-made stupid arses. In the Book of Revelation it's called being an 'overcomer' and calls Jesus' lovers to step-up.

Rosa wrote 'Behind the Green Mask: UN Agenda 21' in 2011. Prophetic and confirmed in accuracy over time. Her quotes² include, 'awareness is the first step in the resistance', -and- 'the resistance is not something you join it’s who you are'. She died two years ago and left us with a blueprint, a warning and how we could push-back, disrupt and interrupt the baddies?

The Book of Revelation is God's version and for all the same reasons Rosa wrote hers and spoke out everywhere she could.

For all truth and reality is at least God's interest in our awareness, if an allie and aid, in resistance against deception and evil.

I never felt compelled by the Hebrew Bible before, when reading other translations; it was hard to feel connected to the Being that seemed Quixotic, distant and even irrational. But in this version, the Geneva Bible, we have a God who longs for a communion with humans, and we have a much less lonely, much less punitive set of circumstances in which human development is meant to unfold. In later translations, God is made much more abstract, and much more rigidly judgmental; and priests and religious institutions are foregrounded. In this early version (and in the Hebrew), it is a heart-wrenching, challenging love story between the Lord and his creation, human beings. A very very serious relationship; but very very intimate and tender.³

Naomi 's synopsis of the Hebrew scriptures isn't mine although the Geneva Bible isn't one I know, or much about. As with a lot of criticism about the Bible, comes with a grain, or even a whole barrel-full of misinterpretation. Moves into popular and confident assumptions.

If only us yappy Christians would conceded there are multiple legitimate views on many subjects and how they warrant credible believing; Justified qualification, that when appropriate, should warrant disclosure of others' qualms?

A revelation of Jesus Christ, that God gave to him, to shew to his servants what things it behoveth to come to pass quickly; and he did signify [it], having sent through his messenger to his servant John, who did testify the word of God, and the testimony of Jesus Christ, as many things also as he did see. 1) Praeterist (or Peterist). Takes that it's about the first century AD. 3) The Futurists view is into the contemporary and fulfillment. 4) The Historicist one, got going in the twelfth century, with (1) and (2) coming out in Catholic opposition in the mid-sixteenth century to oppose the Protestant reading of Revelation as spanning church history and seeing the Pope/Catholics as Anti-Christ/Beast.

Praeterism got going again in the eighteenth century due to a historical-critical method in theology.

Of the two potential dates and claim for the book to have been written, it required the earlier date and pre-AD 70 to be correct and the focus on a present intended message.

The fourth perspective is the Symbolic one, or 'spiritual...' (-not a word am keen on). This puts the difficulties away in making it all an analogy, a parable, a vision and dream-like metaphor. Signs of eternal principles.

As to the language? There are questions about comparisons to John other writing in the New Testament. Be arguments [ok, will do a bit on next one] that favour the earlier, or later dates, and when written. It isn't at all much of a way to allege John couldn't be the same John as the Gospel and letters. Says me.

The language..., is of the cartoon-like apocalyptic' idiom used in books of Daniel and Zachariah.

There are 348 Old Testament direct quotes in Revelation and about 100 alluded or influenced by.

Hence it makes about as much sense and rap lyrics to the uninitiated. The literal vs. illustrated and allegorical is a question that more often gets pushed into fitting into someone's agenda and their theological bigger-picture.

What am into is the Bible speaking i.e. God does.

The get back and does its ...yep, kind of magic, and an experiential marvel.

Superficial geo-political understanding and failings to come-to-pass have ruined or damaged, countless people's faith in the book/church. The 60s/70s took on the Futurist view with gusto and pumped up the hunger for the signs imminent and this or that prediction. Wrecked havoc among a great surge of new believers in the Jesus Movement in the States.

The verses..., in the first one, 'shew' or 'made it known' is a word used elsewhere and 'signs'³.

Communication are signs and symbols, and go beyond the spoken or written. We talk using them and God gets to us, through them, and in a special way. Although I agree with Karen⁴ and on some of the reasons why 'nothing happened' it doesn't take away from something-might-be but we don't feel it?

Doubt she'd disagree and intend to send a short-comment of encouragement due to her stating; 'If any of my readers have ever heard of this book, please let me know. I will be pleasantly surprised'.

Takes that remarkable a request to get me out from the self-imposed hide-out and reach out and ne'er comment to no one/ no where.

Symbols are speaking and they get through and can be deep and outside of a common awareness.
