Words and power. Moses the man of God pronounced...
When we speak with a certain intent, something, that may not-have… happens.
According to our views about God ranging from; non-existent, absent, present but distant, not-separate/at-all/in-all, all controlling and not-intervening or... active and responsive. Are we likely to engage?
We communicate/God does… maybe (..?) Through to believing God potentially gives us capacity to have power, and this over the unseen. In what we (can) say: Is what causes. The link back to, the outworking.
The touch-paper for this: Faith. Or can be? Perhaps all, or many words we speak, regardless, have hidden repercussions?
The argument among believers concerns whether what's recorded in the Bible was exceptional. Seemingly, lack of, or no significant evidence God is still at work like this today, underlining these conclusions. For some. Not me o' course. I say we, the 'why-not' and God longing and waiting for us to come to, and go forth. See/do the miraculous.
We have the issue, our words don't mean for so much. Do they? Never, not the case, but I doubt the levels of duplicity and deception/failure to live-through what's said, has been anywhere as high. Variants in contemporary cultures and places demonstrate some overall differences, but go back through even decades, the changes must be stark. Shocking. Forget the funny hats, in some times and places we'd not easily recognise ourselves. We'd seem to be under all kinds of burdens of voluntary commitment, long-forgotten, so mattered. Self-imposed for no other reason than assumed necessity 'that's what we do' or the importance of integrity ingrained in us.
Being extreme? In theory, once the levels of rarely-faithlessness, are sufficiently widespread and deep – being any kind of community, even humanity, will be lost. Instinctive so, even if we feel or behave like it. On the surface but...
And then there's money…
Oh well better get off my moan-fest. The 'what, out-there' – isn't seed material.
But gotta note, central controllers promote our decline and want our loss. They justify their plans, because we're 'fallen' in their warped, superior-escaping, assessment. We're without redemption. Theirs to withhold, they dream. Therefore…
And so…
Therefore I pray and write and… words 'have' power.
I'm into edging myself away from bemoaning our state. Better speaking up what flickers hope. The word again and 'what can' not what-not. My wee morning rant here is; God, hasn't left us at all but – we are left with, abilities to bless-up and into being, that which wouldn't otherwise. Not pozzy-mind/over-matter gymnastics but read in, and out-from, the word of God. And watching, in adventures of faith.
A v.short start-me-up, type to myself, here. I get its limited appeal. Gonna keep the length of words down methinks, here-on.
Have one message. Today:
Speak out what can cause thus.
God I write – like a speak-over – blessing, to all who read. Two speaks: You-reader, like me, become more/interested and value, sense power, find fascination in your word. And the opportunity to break the numb and inertia, talk out and up, as often as can and anyway do. Be present in us knowing this. In Jesus.
