Difference
Why the struggle and effort? Some talk of this missing 'grace' and better to keep it easy-goes. Each to their own 'n all that.
Not about earning and seeking God, when all that comes, is certain -- by Grace. The claim is, the world wants us squeezed into its mould. We do -or- don't... as-feel this/or not so. Fit along, more, or less?
Takes a particular combo. Socio-economic failure is a paradoxical big help. With eyes wide open to goings on, having picked up a theology that doesn't negate the need for purpose in praying. For a difference to come which depends somewhat, on anyone, making these moves. Like -- me.
The so-called Beatitudes. Makes the case. What in and about our life encourages our intention toward God? Narrows the interests. Certain seems like over-obsessive, grandiose indulgence, anti-life for-living, regressive... Could go on. And cries, it's for others or 'the world' -- more deluded and fantasy.
Again, each to... because we all have our boredoms and interest. For me; Don't so matter and Christianity. The Church. As an 'interest'.
More a call.
The need to see local gatherings -- which rarely be/if at all -- is God's wanting. But the redundant-ish evangelical etc. church, isn't where it's at. Primed for bowing to the beast. While those -- like me -- 'not attending' or in a suitable physical-based collective are home-less.
Quite the mess. Will say. Watch church leaders in the UK and like, get lockstep up for waves of censorship that's crashing down upon us. It's a-happening.
The converse and conservative evangelicals, recognising concern. Yet, on 'one hand' opposing, while welcoming, on the other.
All to get heady and prominent, these next months. We're living in the 'battle for freedom-to-speak times'. Nah doubt. Expect the sleeping 'church' to be excruciating and stoopid.
There's only one said-goal, the eternal life; that they may know Thee, the only true God, and him whom Thou didst send -- Jesus Christ; This the first and last refuge from the madness going into overdrive. And so should. And must.
We will not see God without the lights going out. Somewhat. Complacency, bought and paid-for. And being respectable and sound... (as if) sensible, when all the while, the battle is pretend-relative and not.
The shutting down is upon us. We need some shock factor and wake up.
Thought: This armour-talk? Tis the Word in us. Gifts of God. Active attention. Reminded of William Gurnall. 17th century.
Want to know God.
