Bench Talk
Read ‘THE NEW TESTAMENT in the Moffat Translation’ on a bench and happe’d upon:
No one lights a lamp and hides it under a vessel or puts it below the bed: he puts it on a stand so that those who come in can see the light. For nothing is hidden that shall not be disclosed, nothing concealed that shall not be known and revealed. So take care how you listen; for he who has, to him shall more be given, while as for him who has not, from him shall be taken even what he thinks he has.
Earlier replayed a JP clip and ‘...yeah, don’t be taking notes during...’.
My “yes” would be, don’t be going out and not be doing y’best to read when outdoors. Takes getting used to but the word read and name of Jesus invoked (1 Cor 1 Moffat) in a perhaps discreet, yet public thoroughfare, is a tank-filling discipline. Or somewhere secluded.
Herebe m’time for today. Knock up a new image. Place before and somehow repeat conscientiously. Chants of freedom ‘n all that. Songs of redemption. New man feeding. Drum up the attention.
All this and that. Sense I’m wading here without much to say and yet to do TS.
A word though: How we listen?
By sowing. Many seeds. Good soil best but scatter with obsessive abandon.
Rain or shine.
