Mirrors are virtually banned at Peel Acres, it must be said. Ever since I was a boy and did the thing, you know, where you put two mirrors together, then look at yourself in the corner, which actually gives you a true impression of yourself, because obviously in an ordinary mirror, you're, as it were, reversed. When I did this, I found that my mouth was crooked and not parallel with the ground when I was standing upright. This depressed me so much I was inconsolable for weeks, wept and wept and wept. Still get depressed about it at times, but I press on.

Always the last song of the set. It's the only recorded version. The band were unable to lift it up in the studio to the live 'event'. Likewise, it would overturn any playlist. The climax of their never-not-deliver gigs. As far as, 'Aylesbury' would be there. Later, it was common to hear said; the nearest to a 'religious' experience. Until... the next time.
At the end the band were deep into somewhere,/else..? Or, is it most-present, while lost in music? Strobes bright and fast with whirling wild, buzz-saw guitars. It might see Robin on bass, fall on his knees. Joe be doing something magical with amp and feedback. Dave would strike a marching beat. Jackie loomed in the middle. Slow-moving, contorted and twisting, seeming to embrace and confront, what let rip.
Banging, banging, ...screeching.
Stops. Into sudden darkness and silence.
Never quick applause. Delay to recover and back to y'whereabouts.
