Again
More on signs and whys.
Before this... “the notices”.
I'll begin to follow the 'Bible in a Year in Chronological Order' when planting morning seeds. They should be sown by ‘start of business’.
This - the NIV. No translation's right right-on best, certainly not the NIV, but for readability... And we married up long-ago and so y’know how it is...
The reading plan can be found here - (update, 21/2: "no it can't").
Looking to find the jumbo size/large print, I found another publisher's version and, ay-oh-available, cheapo paperbacks.
'The Daily Bible Large Print Edition' is a one-er and I might add.. there is, something about, printed matter.
And one piece of advice to get silly about, “never be six feet from a N.T.” Years ago suggestion from Jim Cymbala, (but how/can/could/should/we/not?)
And I don't mean reading it off ya phone/an additional. Call me “being religious” but although the message isn't the medium, neither is it unrelated. Charity shops? Pocket size... (Write me, I’ll send you new and bound beaut, want-to-get-out looker - no questions/asked).
Getting all-advicy today eh: Get d’book-out. On the bus or what have you. Even holding it upfront unopened, is sense in my world. And while we're on… worship/warfare practicals: Sticking up – best DIY – written verses on walls etc? PriMo-manna-sense.
(Incidentally, not-carrying a mobile is hip-holy. Thought I should tell y'thus wisdom).
Ad over.
Today's reading is the Lev 16-18 but today's verse was from Deut 9. Excuse me but a last/God if, non-chronological-reading opp and stick with 'God hearing', not the 'Law' (Leviticus).
On leading. Signs and wonders. Uncanny sights. Messages in a happinstance. Something entirely explainable as random but just a little, or heaps too... odd. Occasionally a smacking/blow y’over - “what’s that all about?” Involves timing. That it happens, at a precise - moment.
For faith. Confirmation. Encouragement. Direction (but be careful with this one). And more... And this, a current explore.
PAS days - God-if - along the way, hopefully find light to shed.
In relation to prayer though and - but again God listened. God again, does signs. And God is able, in answer to prayer.
Not explicitly stated to a virtual exclusive extreme but implicitly Bible, page upon page:
God does nothing but in answer to prayer. I could almost italic this as scripture. A Holy Spirit fix on a verse in Amos. John Wesley clocked it:
‘Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin and desire nothing but God, and I care not a straw whether they be clergymen or laymen; such alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the kingdom of heaven on earth. God does nothing but in answer to prayer.’
Let’s wind up the service. Seeds should be sown earlier than later.
Don’t bow your heads/or do?
God. Shape us please. We need your help. These words of the word can read all distant and blank. Hard to assimilate. And prayer, aching trouble too.
Relight, or maybe first-time/really; help us feed until we feel, find ways to cook, that has us eat. And send signs, please. Build faith, please. Be here now. Thank you.
