Measure Ye Measure
By trying to explain to m’self what’s going on, maybe, just maybe, might get on and do> what matters most?
Some might say, let up, relax a little, kick back and enjoy the ride. Others could talk about be / present, it’s ‘the journey not the destination’. Talk of ‘enjoying God’, hear this. Not live about tomorrow, all we have is the day. Kind of get that one but yea, sowing is about the harvest.
We should find our voice, our thang. For me -- want to farm.
The wind blows wherever it pleases and so with God. Catches those going directions, some declare, desire. Don’t expect others to relate to me and not at all narky or judgy about followers' different calls. Be blessings galore and all the rest, to connect with a local warrior on the same-ish tip but having not and maybe never/not -- Hallelujah Anyway.
'Had' to watch a T.V. programme last night. Sophistication masking stupidity. Won't do a deconstruct and describe the demonic meme's. There was no subtlety. Pure revelation of the method. A clear and present danger. Onslaughts on, the fabric of a healthier than not, society.
Mention, because it's there playing, on auto, in the back of my mind. Awake and this jiggy, oh aren't we tense Drama, is on replay. Swishing about with scenes and story. Faint and will fade, yet involuntary.
Jesus:
Take heed what ye hear; in what measure ye measure, it shall be measured to you; and to you who hear it shall be added;
One line on this? Is 'this'. What am here doing. Always been an avid promoter of each one teach one. Opportunity knocks effort to out-put, 'teach' no less, the measuring out, we could and can all do. Teach this; Teachers make teachers and all who 'go', could... have a go?
Talk to seem, walls, or fields (top spot). Maybe, be preaching to the angels? No feel the human crit there. And all the while, be here and what have you; sowing.
In plumbing into what's going on and Mark 4 etc one thought:
Listen the first word, sums much up. What about the underlay of nagging put-me-downs, a bit like last nights "dwama" playing quietly away? 'Broken records', the psyche term. Well listening to the word, really hearing somehow, is a powerful key. If insecurities and the Tell-lies-Vision, is bubbling about, how about verses?
There's something deliberate, and searching, reverent but without show or swagger, that makes for dynamic reading and the word. In listening -- a lot -- to Jordan Peterson read from Genesis, this demonstrates open to anyone, (say with no disrespect/who am I/to know man ult.at). Being a pew-settled evangelical etc isn't, would seem, the necessarily qualifying mark.
Men and women of God can and do read with tremendous conviction. Often get most from the quotes and readings, more than the unpacking. And when they do get me it's the word, yet again, that speaks. Won't name some, occasional dipping into these days, 'faith merchants' my term. Not many... OK... confession good for the soul: Listened to Kenneth Hagin. Perhaps it's drawl and style but suggest is other, and maybe personal to, and who speaks the ease and conviction to receive.
Certainly not tick-box orthodox or less error bringing, in my understanding, dependent.
Back to 'one thought' and close:
Seeds sown in us flow with use. Where faith cometh from. The washing of the word and all that. M'thought; Competing not good-for or God-like voices, diminish through measuring Bible into us and keeping a watch on the audio-diet. When able -- accepting employment or family needs -- keep crap to a minimum. Seems severe. Well, that's farming. Elements battle, ground can be hard. The promise is our appetite grows on what we feed it. And God promises to somehow, increase the measure ye measure.
