27 Pt. 3.
Born To Be Free. Last edit, midnight.
11.30, had a surprised by joy, going on. Blew, my mind. Rocked me sufficient, can't return to the selection. Sunday School tomorrow. The rest will become ...ohhhh, Pt. 4., on Monday.
Peace...,
And, please, risk assess all contact with the media, (from hell).
AND, NEVER... watch the News, or even let a headline, catch your eye.
The single first-step out the poisoning spell.
It, is, poison.
Please don't suffer the liars.
For Toby and Amy... abundant love, to and for, you.
The song Toby suggested, upon my request to review something: We fell in love in October, but, by, ...Clairo (?).
Intrigued by Clairo, her latest.
[ The Clairo song, and... yet to hear, Born To Be Free, roll over and on Sunday School/Truthscoop]
Play and rap a wee bit on. Be on/off tonight as I wade through the Twenty Seven. Not to say...Love in Oct., isn't, a good un.
Thanks for clicking in, pop pickers,
MJ

And Justice For All:
Twenty bag, and six songs. (to be cont.)
1.
The heritage of hip-hop, ragga, bashment, and... [choose a name].
MJ's Family Tree goes; Kenneth Patchen and others rapping over a jazz band in the 50s.
Early 70s..., rep., with U Roy. Or, I Roy, or,... and the first rappy-speak-over vocals, to toast, the records.
If there's one unbeatable... about the hop?
Dancing.
And scratch and similar, select and mix.
DJ Lady Style, delivers a bombastic festival of the tree, and branches. Not sure anyone but Wiley should start the proceedings.
Lady Style's another, who leaves no doubt, one reason why spin and put on show?
Enthusiastic performer, and front-row, receiver in one.
2.
The one record, connected to my most dramatic listen in a long time, happened last November. In the day that most moved me. One time in ages, left the 98 year old dad, went for lunch at the soup kitchen. Came in and went to him and blessed, and returned. Went upstairs and vaped some 'erb. Played Bunny, went downstairs, and he'd died. I was distraught, I wasn't there.
A wailing soul.
Except, he was close to going, for a few days? Then, it hit hit me:
I believe, he waited. Somehow, couldn't die, before I came back.
It isn't that unusual, and other people have disclosed, similar, 'appenings.
Yep, one emotional, overcome, happened-to me, and so, unexpected.
Bunny Wailer, his religious devotion and the deepest darkest, brightest and lightest: Hymns, chants and meditations? Love, unity, and the dancehall.
A full post and brimming with chatter and the place he inhabited, circa. 1980.
3.
Sparkling Dennis, brings a central chant and call in the Rastafarian canon.
What can we say?
Dennis, Gregory, Burning Spear, Culture, Black Uhuru, led the possie with Bob upfront.
Bob, dies. The attempt to rally on and up, was held on to. Tough and the tide turned. Never forget reggae was dangerous. The next time vocal-based, dance music, carried danger and threat?
2019, when Drill peaked out, from the underground. Grime and Hip-Hop had their fearsome and assertive tones.
Harlem Spartans, 67, and the few hundred surrounding.
The for-once, racism...
No-One-Mentions.
Oh, we know why, the JA yard, UK city pockets of British Jamaicans... on to 2019, 20... and every social-housing estate in the UK, and Europe, and... black, white, and colours-between?
Black people, predominant, yet, not race-specific and exclusive?
Them, they, don't BLM matter.
BLM know well, to stay away. Too... BLACK, for them.
Pussies, rioting. The establisments' slavery machine, by way of pretenders, playing politics. "Racism Ra-Ra-Ra" is about the, nice, black people.
"Not those nasty drug-dealers and their noisy rapping."
In '81 put on Culture, and another time, Black Uhuru, in Aylesbury.
Ask me, my most successful, music business?
Add, the gigs, Doll by Doll played?
My, most successful.
4.
A word... about, prophecy. Anthony B. What a rap.
Leave till the end. Go out on some heavy manners.
Response to the cry?:
5.
Will the whores of Babylon, making minstrels for the cult? Will they turn Jamaica's Pop Princess?
The elders, sister and bros., surrounding her, are a sky-scraper in comparison to their shoddy operations. How they'd like her off the island and into the pit they splodge about in.
Big sign, (but no-way, can't see it). Satisfied with the home-based millions, the magnificent Koffee, projecting: "This gal., is not for sale."
Not since Bob in 1980 have we seen reggae-based music, so swoon and seduce, the wider public. If..., she stays in the country and is repelled from the cities and living elsewhere, i.e. LA, NY etc.
Who loves her Rapture, live on 'Colors'?
[Break till 11pm. Get as far/as in an hour?]
6.
Avenue B and fourth, the building was built around a central drop... a well with rats and rubbish, Out of a bedroom, I could see in two or three flats. A front-room.
Be September '81. Saturday morning, about 10am.
Watched a slender black man is a leotard or such like, crank Equalizer up. With a few healthy rewinds, watched him dance. One viewer, unseen. Breathtaking.
A year earlier, working for CBS, visited Wessex Studio on the Sandanista a few times. Now, blessed-to-be-British, watching the fruits.
